Holiday Events

Jana and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the best of Holidays. I want to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support in my art and update you on several holiday events taking place. I also want to share with you what i'm currently working on. This painting has a few more layers of color to be added and needs a little work on the edges, but I like the way it is progressing. It gives a good example of how I start most of my paintings. Building layers of color will hopefully bring this painting to life.

One of my favorite events of the year opens this weekend. Lowell's Boat shop will host its annual Holiday Open House. Open Saturday and Sunday December 4th & 5th 11:00A.M. to 4:00 P.M. I have six paintings depicting local scenes. Come check out some great art from many local artist, have a cup of fish chowder, a beer or bring the kids to visit with Santa. The atmosphere at this historic landmark is a must.

Small paintings from local artist and two paintings of mine can be found at the Newburyport Art Association which opens its Holiday show today and runs threw December 24th. Join the fun on Holiday Invitation Nights December 4th or December 11th from 6-9 P.M. or visit during their regularly scheduled hours www.newburyportart.org

If your looking for larger paintings, I have five large nautical paintings on display in the First Ipswich Bank of Gloucester, located at 207 Main St. Gloucester.

Lastly, The Rhythem Cafe in my home town of Merrimac is currently displaying twenty of my paintings. The restaurant is located at 12 school street in Merrimac. The restaurant is a scratch kitchen, small, food is quite good, and the deserts all home made. you may want to call ahead and reserve a seat. They also open for lunch.
